Michelle McKenzie

Michelle McKenzie (she/her) is a harm reductionist, a person in recovery and has been involved in harm reduction research for more than 25 years. She is the Director of Community Engagement for the COBRE on Opioids and Overdose. She co-founded PONI, Preventing Overdose and Naloxone Intervention in 2006, which provides IM naloxone and other harm reduction supplies to community-based organizations in Rhode Island. She is a long-standing member of the Governor's Overdose Prevention and Intervention Task Force and co-chair of the Rescue Working Group of the task force.
