Kristin Read

Kristin Read is the Project Director of the East Bay Community Action Program’s Warren Health Equity Zone (Warren HEZ) founded in 2021. Kristin is a Warren resident with deep experience in non-profit management, community engagement and early education. 

The Rhode Island Department of Health provides seed funding for the Warren HEZ, which is supported by East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) as its backbone agency. Kristin has led diverse teams committed to increasing diversity, equity, access and inclusion in education and workforce development in a variety of settings including Museums, Higher Education and Early Education. Kristin immediate past experience is as Director of Education at the Providence Children’s Museum where her department championed the importance of free play and equal access to creative experiences. She has a BS in Elementary Education and an MS in Organizational Leadership, from Wheelock College.
